Sourcing Grains From Local, Sustainable Farmers
Another action we took to reduce our carbon emissions on the path to becoming Climate Neutral Certified was how we source our grains to make our high quality spirits.
We only work with local farms that have also committed to sustainability by choosing organic or regenerative farming practices to source the best ingredients Vermont has to offer. That’s good for the planet in two ways.
First, farms that use organic or regenerative farming practices foster healthy soil, which improves local biodiversity & yields the highest quality grains in the region.
Second, working with hyperlocal suppliers means less travel to deliver ingredients to our distillery, which allows us to minimize our carbon emissions from transportation.
